§16 Safety course

Danish Maritime Authority approved occupational health courses (§16)
Danish Maritime Authority Notices A, Chap.XI on safety aboard merchant vessels state that safety committee members must have attended one of the occupational health courses approved by the Danish Maritime Authority.

The courses have now been running for more than ten years. Many seamen have attended them and feedback from delegates has been that they receive a good tool to help them with their day-to-day health and safety work aboard.

  • Courses last from 3 - 5 days.
  • Courses in Danish cost between DKK 5,000 - 6,000 /delegate
  • Courses held abroad cost between DKK 3,800 - 5,800 /delegate
  • The above approximate prices are as notified by course providers.
