Update of Health and safety at Sea can be done by entering the programme:
- Choose the module ”Ship Data”.
- In the menu line, choose ”Help”.
- In the menu, choose ”Update”.
Now a new screen opens and you have the possibility to press the link that opens the webpage (http://seachemistry.dk/update-to-program) by the use of your Internet Web Browser.
Note your ”application version” and ”database version” located in the lower left corner within the program. You might need the information in connection with your update.
When the portal is opened you have two possibilities for updates
- A complete update which contains all changes made to the program since launched in 2010
- A partly update which only updates from your current versions
If you want a complete update, press ”download” by this update selection. Choose ”save” when the dialog box ”file transfer” opens on the screen. Save the file to your computer.
If you want a partly update, you first need to state your program version in the dropdown list, followed by stating your database version in the other dropdown list.
Now press ”download” and an update file will be generated. Choose “save” when the dialog box “file transfer” opens on the screen. Save the file to your computer. Choose “close” when the transfer is completed.
When the file is transferred to your computer it must be run.
Close the program ”Health and Safety at Sea”.
Find the file you have just downloaded and double left click on the update file with your mouse. Choose in what language the dialog boxes in the updater should be shown.
When the dialogue box for the updater opens, click on ”OK” to begin the update.
By completion of the update a dialogue box opens. It informs you that the update is completed and where you can locate an update log, if you need such. Press “OK” and you can open the program again.
